All participants on a ZEST OF ITALY tour are required to sign the following Acknowledgement of Risk and Release:
“I have enrolled on a ZEST OF ITALY tour (the “Tour”) and voluntarily agree to the following Acknowledgement of Risk and Release without modification:
I acknowledge and accept the terms of cancellation and other booking conditions.
I acknowledge that the Tour involves certain risks and potential dangers. These include the risk of personal injury or death from accident, illness or the conduct of other persons, as well as the possibility of the loss of or damage to my property.
Having carefully considered these risks, I release ZEST OF ITALY and its personnel from all liability in respect of my physical or mental injury, death, or property loss or damage as a result of my participation on the Tour, except where caused by willfully reckless or fraudulent conduct of ZEST OF ITALY personnel.
I also understand that ZEST OF ITALY organizes, promotes, and sells tour programs which consist of certain travel services, such as hotel rooms, meals in restaurants, etc. which ZEST OF ITALY purchases or reserves from various Suppliers which are in no way affiliated with ZEST OF ITALY.
I therefore acknowledge that ZEST OF ITALY is not responsible for any harmful or negligent conduct of any Supplier, and I agree to not hold ZEST OF ITALY responsible or liable for any conduct of any Supplier that results in physical or mental injury, death, or property loss or damage to myself.
I further release ZEST OF ITALY from all liability in respect of claims made against me as a result of any of my actions on the Tour.
I intend that this Acknowledgement of Risk and Release will be binding upon my successors and legal personal representatives.”
By booking a ZEST OF ITALY tour you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to all of the following terms and conditions:
All prices listed are in EURO, land only, per person, based on double occupancy. Airfare and travel insurance are not included.
A deposit of 25% per person is due at time of booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before tour begins. We strongly advise to purchase travel insurance.
Payment schedule: Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 25% per person, per trip will reserve for you the dates of your tour. The deposit is payable by banking wire. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will proceed to make the reservations for your tour.
Some hotels request a full or partial payment at the time of booking. If a hotel requires us to make an advanced payment, we will let you know so that you can provide us with a credit card to authorize the processing of this payment. The advanced hotel payment will then be deducted from your final balance. We will also detail to you the hotel’s cancellation conditions.
Payment schedule: Balance
Full payment is due 42 days before the first day of the tour and is payable by banking wire.
If you find it necessary to cancel your booking, you may transfer the reservation to another suitable person, following acceptance by us. If this is not possible, then cancellation of your booking will become effective upon receipt by us of your written notification and the following charges will apply for each canceling client:
42 and more days before trip start date: loss of deposit
41-22 days before trip start date: 50%
21-8 days before trip start date: 75%
Less than 8 days before trip start date and no-show: 100%
In all of the above cases you are entitled to receive a coupon for the tour price minus the EUR 100 per person deposit minus any hotel cancellation fees (where applicable). You can apply this coupon to a future booking of any of our tours (Nota Bene: valid until the end of the following year).
If we change an itinerary
Planning a tour is a complex process, with many variables and decisions made “behind the scenes” as to maintain high service standards. For this reason we reserve the right to alter our itineraries when required by circumstances. If changes are necessary we will make every effort to provide substitutions in kind to maintain the quality of services as stated in our website. Should we find it necessary for any reason to cancel a tour prior to departure, then the refund of all monies received will constitute a full settlement. If a client fails to make payment, then we reserve the right to cancel that booking without any obligation to refund or make alternative arrangements.
Tour prices are per person in EUR, based on two persons sharing a room (where applicable). Trip prices are quoted as a package; credits are not given for services not used during a trip. If you wish to book only a portion of a tour, we’ll be glad to price the tour accordingly.
Please note that clients with medical or physical problems that could in any way impact upon their participation in the tour or impact upon others’ participation must make these conditions known to us before departure. By notifying us, we will be able to plan the daily activities accordingly. Failure to notify us could result in your exclusion from full participation in tour activities based on your guide’s discretion.
ZEST OF ITALY reserves the right to take photographs during tours and of clients and to use those photographs in our promotional materials without compensation or advanced notice. For our testimonials page, we either request a photo from the participants themselves, or else request permission for the use of one of our photos. If you find you don’t like a particular use of a photograph of you in our materials, please notify us. In the case of electronic media (our website), we will remove it immediately. In the case of printed material, we will not include it in future printings.
